Earnings & Referral FAQs
Everything you need to know about gameplay rewards, referrals, security, and transparency.
Getting Started & Gameplay
Q1. How do I start playing?
Connect your Web3 wallet (MetaMask, WalletConnect, etc.), pay 1 USDT entry fee, and wait for the next scheduled game. Lobby opens 3 minutes before game time.
Q2. When do games start?
Games run every hour on the hour: 12:00 AM, 1:00 AM, 2:00 AM, etc. (24 sessions per day). Registration closes 2 minutes before start.
Q3. How long does each game last?
Each game has 10 questions with 10 seconds per question = ~2 minutes total gameplay. Plus time for registration and results.
Q4. What type of questions are asked?
Multiple-choice trivia questions (A, B, C, D) covering general knowledge, crypto, pop culture, science, and more. Questions vary each session.
Q5. Can I see the questions before the game?
No. Questions are delivered off-chain and protected before the game. Only the correct answers are pre-committed on-chain as hashes for fairness, then revealed after the deadline. No one can see them early.
Q6. What happens if I disconnect during a game?
Your submitted answers are saved on-chain. If you disconnect before submitting an answer, that question counts as wrong. Reconnect quickly to continue.
Q7. What if I miss answering a question?
If time expires (10 seconds), it counts as incorrect. All questions must be answered or time out to complete the game.
Q8. Can I see other players during the game?
You can see the player count, but not individual players or their answers. Answers are hidden (committed) until after the game for fairness.
Q9. Is there a minimum number of players to start?
Yes. Minimum of 5 players are required to auto-start. This requirement is enforced by the lobby/orchestrator (backend), not by the smart contract.
Q10. Is there a maximum number of players?
Yes, 1,000 players per game. This is a smart contract limit to ensure gas efficiency and smooth gameplay.
Q11. Can I play multiple times per day?
Yes! You can play all 24 sessions per day (every hour) on each chain. Each entry costs 1 USDT/USDC.
Q12. Can I play on mobile?
Yes! The game works on mobile browsers with Web3 wallet support (MetaMask mobile, Trust Wallet, etc.). Responsive design for all screens.
Q13. Which wallets are supported?
Any Web3 wallet: MetaMask, WalletConnect, Coinbase Wallet, Trust Wallet, Rainbow, etc. Must support the chain you're playing on.
Q14. What if no one scores 10/10?
Winners are still the top 23% ranked by score (9/10, 8/10, etc.) and speed. The 70% winners' share is distributed among them.
Q15. Can I get a refund if I don't play?
Yes, if the game is cancelled or you registered but the game didn't start, you can claim a refund on-chain after the deadline.
Q16. How do I test on Arbitrum Sepolia and get USDT?
1) Switch your wallet network to Arbitrum Sepolia (chain ID 421614). 2) Import the test USDT token at 0x5976EFa5Bec250546093b30f122ef1F2e6B69d53 (MetaMask → Assets → Import Token → Custom). 3) Grab a small amount of Arbitrum Sepolia ETH from the official faucet (e.g. https://www.alchemy.com/faucets/arbitrum-sepolia) to cover gas. 4) Join our Telegram test channel for admin-minted USDT drops: https://t.me/cryptoquizzes. Admins periodically mint and share tokens with new testers.
Earnings & Prizes
Q17. How exactly do I earn?
Pay 1 USDT/USDC to enter, answer 10 questions, finish in the top 23% by score and speed. Winners split 70% of the total pool, ranked by performance.
Q18. How are winners chosen?
By score first, then total time as a tie-breaker. Perfect scores (10/10) rank by fastest overall time.
Q19. What's the prize budget per game?
70% of the total entry pool goes to winners (the "winners' share").
Q20. How many people can win?
Up to 23% of participants per game.
Q21. What's the max prize per winner?
Up to 3 USDT per winner (for perfect 10/10), subject to the winners' budget and rank.
Q22. Can lower scores earn something?
Yes—if fewer than 23% achieve 10/10, the system can reward lower scores within the same 70% winners' budget (ranked by score, then time).
Q23. How are prizes distributed exactly?
Winners are ranked by score, then speed. Rank 1 gets the most, rank 2 gets less, etc. All winners share the 70% pool proportionally based on rank.
Q24. When can I claim my prize?
Immediately after the game ends and winners are finalized. Claims are instant, on-chain, in the same token you paid with (USDT/USDC).
Q25. How often are games?
24 sessions per day (every hour). Session counts are per chain.
Q26. Which tokens and chains are supported?
USDT/USDC on Arbitrum, BSC, Base (Ethereum mainnet excluded for gas efficiency). Pools and claims are per chain. (No DAI support for now.)
Q27. How do I claim prizes?
Winners claim on-chain in the same stablecoin and on the same chain they played.
Q28. Do I need different tokens on different chains?
Yes. If playing on Arbitrum, you need USDT/USDC on Arbitrum. If playing on BSC, you need USDT/USDC on BSC. Chains don't share balances.
Q29. Any gas tips?
Gas is low on Arbitrum/BSC/Base. For small amounts, you may wish to batch claims (e.g., wait until ≥1 USDT) to save gas.
Referrals
Q30. Is there a referral program?
Yes—two-sided, on-chain, ongoing. Both the referrer and the referred earn as the referred keeps playing.
Q31. How much goes to referrals overall?
Referral rewards are 30% of the platform’s 30% fee = 9% of the pool (cap), and are only paid on referred entries.
Q32. What do I (referrer) earn per referred play?
Default split 2:1 (referrer:referred) from that 9%: Referrer earns 0.06 USDT per 1 USDT referred entry, and the Referred earns 0.03 USDT per 1 USDT entry.
Q33. Does the referred user earn too?
Yes. The referred player accrues 0.03 USDT per 1 USDT entry (on-chain), usable across sessions.
Q34. How do referrals accrue and pay out?
Rewards accrue on-chain each time the referred user plays. Anyone can claim anytime in the session’s stablecoin on the same chain. (Tip: batch claims for gas efficiency.)
Q35. How do I set my referrer?
On your first join, include your referrer’s wallet address (or short code). It’s immutable after it’s set.
Q36. Can I refer myself or change referrers later?
No. Self-referrals are blocked, and referrers cannot be changed after first join.
Q37. What can I earn with 100 referrals?
Per referred user, per month (30 days), if they play every session on one chain (360 games): You (referrer) earn 21.60 USDT, and they (referred) earn 10.80 USDT. This scales with the number of referrals and their play rate.
Q38. Do referrals work across chains?
Yes, but earnings accrue per chain. If your referee plays on BSC, you earn on BSC; if they switch to Arbitrum, you earn on Arbitrum, etc.
Q39. Are there caps or anti-abuse rules?
Yes. One referrer per wallet (set once), no self-referral, on-chain auditing, and optional fair-use limits may apply to deter spam/Sybil activity.
Security & Transparency
Q40. Is everything verifiable on-chain?
Yes. Entry fees, prize claims, and referral accruals are recorded on-chain. Correct answers are pre-committed (hashed/Merkle) on-chain before each game for fairness.
Q41. When are fees taken?
The platform receives 30% of the pool. Up to 9% (of the pool) funds referrals on referred entries; 21% remains as net platform margin.
Q42. How does the commit-reveal system work?
When you submit answers, they're hashed (hidden) on-chain during the game. After the deadline, you reveal your real answers. This prevents cheating by copying others.
Q43. Can the platform cheat or change answers?
No. Correct answers are committed on-chain before each game (hashed). They cannot be changed. Anyone can verify the hash matches the revealed answers.
Q44. What if the platform goes down mid-game?
Your answers are on-chain. The smart contract continues running. You can claim refunds or prizes directly through the contract if needed.
Q45. Taxes & compliance?
Players are responsible for their local tax and reporting obligations. Availability may vary by jurisdiction.
